An Imaginary AI Radio Program

SIAF Radio is an imaginary AI radio program set in the “Future Snow Town.” Hosted by an AI that has learned the voice of Hideaki Ogawa, the director of SIAF 2024, the program autonomously generates radio content and music based on information from the city where GACHA runs. In this future snow-covered city, what kind of new “fruits of sound” can we cultivate? In 2024, just before the explosive proliferation of generative AI, h.o. presented the festival’s radio program as an AI-driven broadcast. This radio program, offering a perspective on the future Sapporo International Art Festival, generates the festival’s approach and music every 10 minutes and is broadcast at various locations within the GACHA by Muji and throughout the venue.
